According to the state, the bridge project includes work on a total of eight bridges located at the I-90/I-95 interchange on Newton and Weston. Of the eight, five are slated to be completely replaced, two will have their superstructures changed, and one is only in need of rehabilitation. This specific closure is being carried out to replace the I-90 bridge that goes over the MBTA's commuter rail.
