NAGE Endorses Newton City Councilor for Congress

The National Association of Government Employees has indorsed Jake Auchincloss for Massachusetts' 4th congressional seat.

NEWTON, MA — The National Association of Government Employees has endorsed Newton City Counselor Jake Auchincloss in his campaign for Massachusetts' 4th congressional seat, his campaign announced Thursday in a press release.

Dave Holway, NAGE president, said the endorsement comes as a result of Auchincloss' dedication to working people.

"On the City Council, Jake has fought for the values of working people: great public education, reducing income inequality, and making communities more sustainable," Holway said in a statement. "I know Jake will take those values with him when he represents the Massachusetts’ 4th District in Congress."

A veteran of the marines, Auchincloss has served two full terms as a Newton city councilor and was reelected for his third term this November.

has continued service as a city councilor in Newton, where he graduated from the public schools. Jake's positive, thoughtful leadership over two terms, especially on transportation and the environment, earned him re-election to a third term this November.
