Nationwide Mediterranean Restaurant Makes Its Way To Newton

The chain with dozens of locations throughout the country opened its newest one in Chestnut Hill.

NEWTON, MA — A Mediterranean restaurant is Chestnut Hill’s newest addition. Cava opened its doors this month on 220 Boylston St.

The eatery describes itself and its offerings as fast, casual, and most importantly, healthy. The chain has locations throughout the country, and the Chestnut Hill spot is the 15th in the state, and fifth in the Boston area.

“Chestnut Hill Square is excited to welcome CAVA. The delicious, healthy Mediterranean fare is a wonderful complement to our dining options,” Marketing Director for Chestnut Hill Square Rebekah Macchia said.”

The business recently held its annual Community Day event, in which free meals are offered and donations are accepted from customers toward fighting food insecurity. According to Cava, it has raised more than $600,000 through this process in the past six years.
