Newton 2023 Election: See Unofficial Results
Offices on the ballot were: Councilor-At-Large in all eight wards, Ward Councilor in all wards, and School Committee in all wards.

NEWTON, MA — Unofficial results from Newton's municipal election are in, showing winners in key city council and school committee races.
One notable race was for the Ward 2 council seat where David Micley and Dan Gaynor were vying for an open seat left by Emily Norton. According to unofficial results, Micley was ahead by close to 700 votes.
In September, Gaynor and Micley had advanced to the general election via a preliminary election, where Gaynor received 803 votes, Micley got 678 votes and Peter Bruce was eliminated with 546 votes.

Gaynor is a small business owner who previously served as a presidential appointee for national security in the Obama-Biden Administration. Micley is a trustee on Newton's Pension Board, and was previously an elected member of Brookline Town Meeting.
According to election officials, A total of 15,871 votes were cast out of about 60,000 registered voters.
