Newton Cancels School For Friday As Storm Looms
Forecasters have warned of dangerous conditions overnight Thursday into Friday as stormy weather makes its way across New England.

NEWTON, MA — Newton Public Schools students will get an early start to their holiday vacation Friday thanks to the region’s looming winter storm, school officials announced on Thursday.
Officials made the call to cancel school around 4 p.m. The closure on Friday also impacts all after school and evening activities, officials said.
Weather conditions are expected to deteriorate through Thursday evening into the overnight hours. This storm likely won’t bring snow in Eastern Massachusetts, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service.
