Newton Community Pride Announces Community Micro Grant Recipients
Recipients include the Waban Improvement Society, PorchFest, Nonantum Village Welcome Mural, and Newton Nomadic Theater.
NEWTON, MA — Newton Community Pride has announced their community Micro Grant recipients for the spring 2022 grant cycle.
Spring grant recipients are The Waban Improvement Society’s Newton Piano Summit, PorchFest, Nonantum Village Welcome Mural, and Newton Nomadic Theater’s production of Hidden Shakespeare.
“We are thrilled to award seed money to support local projects consistent with our mission.” Blair Lesser Sullivan, Executive Director of Newton Community Pride, said in a statement. “Our goal with this Micro Grant Program is to invigorate and culturally uplift our community and all who live, work and create here.”

All grantee events will occur in May and June. Newton Community Pride will open another round of community micro grants on October 1.
