Newton Cyclist Killed In Memorial Drive Crash
State Police identified the victim of Monday's crash as 62-year-old John Corcoran.
NEWTON, MA — The man killed in a cycling crash on Memorial Drive in Cambridge early Monday night has been identified as a 62-year-old Newton resident.
State police reports said on Tuesday that John Corcoran died from injuries suffered when he was struck by a car at about 6 p.m. on Monday near the Boston University boathouse.
Media reports said there have been no charges in the crash that involved a man in his 20s losing control of his vehicle and striking Corcoran. Corcoran was taken to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to the injuries.
