Newton Nonprofit Receives $20,000 Donation From Sincere Foundation
Spoonfuls provides food to pantries and food banks throughout the state.
NEWTON, MA — Spoonfuls, a nonprofit food delivery service headquartered on Wells Avenue, has received a $20,000 grant from the Sincere Foundation.
The foundation is the charitable branch of the Sincere Corporation and gives grants to programs that focus on housing stability, food insecurity, and safe spaces. Spoonfuls is one of 14 recipients in this round of grants, with other nonprofits and food banks in Westborough, Boston, Beverly, Lynn, and five other communities receiving their portion of the $175,000 total.
Spoonfuls began its operation in 2010 under its former name, “Lovin’ Spoonfuls.” It was founded by Cherylann Lambert Walsh, who is still its CEO. According to the nonprofit, its efforts have helped create more than 29 million meals.
