NEWTON, MA — The West Suburban YMCA is welcoming the community to its Annual Fall Festival – a free and fun family-oriented event – on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 2-4 p.m., followed by Open House Week when all are invited to “try the Y” for free.

Children are encouraged to wear a Halloween costume to the Fall Festival, an afternoon of autumn-themed activities and entertainment. The event at 276 Church St. includes a petting zoo, pumpkin decorating, “mad scientist” experiments, kid’s Halloween Zumba, balloon art, outdoor games, refreshments, and more.

Running Oct. 22-29, Open House Week offers tours of the Y facility, including the pools, basketball courts, wellness centers, childcare center, and outdoor track & field. Visitors can go for a swim, try tennis or the super-popular pickleball, or join a group exercise class.
