Newton Winter Overnight Parking Ban Now In Effect
The ban will be in effect from 2 to 6 a.m. through March 31.

NEWTON, MA — There will be no overnight parking allowed in Newton for the next four months.
The overnight parking ban took effect for winter 2023-24 as of Friday and will last through March 31. Vehicles are not allowed to be parked on city streets from 2 to 6 a.m. nightly.
The violation fine is $25.

Newton offers municipal parking lot permits for residents who need additional parking. Vehicles can park in designated lots during the winter months from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. — except for a declared snow emergency when parking is prohibited.
Permits are free but are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
