Newton's John Krasinski Named People's 'Sexiest Man Alive': Report

NEWTON, MA — John Krasinski was named People Magazine's 2024 "Sexiest Man Alive." The Newton native, actor, and director is best known for his role as Jim Halpert in NBC’s “The Office,” which aired from 2005 to 2013.

According to People, Krasinski was at a loss for words when he first learned of his recognition.
“That's not how I wake up, thinking, ‘Is this the day that I'll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?’” Krasinski told People. “And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me.”

Krasinski has been married to fellow actress Emily Blunt for more than a decade, and Krasinski told People of her comedic plan to line the walls of their New York home with the magazine cover.
