Newton's WinterFEST Is Back For Another Year
Newton Community Pride organizes the weekend-long event each January.

NEWTON, MA — Newton Community Pride announced Thursday that its fourth annual WinterFEST will begin on Friday, Jan. 24 and take place throughout the entire weekend.
The event’s opening night on the Newton Centre Green begins at 4:30 p.m., and features several ice sculptures to behold as well as a live carving. Attendees can also take in other forms of entertainment such as live music and hula hooping while enjoying complementary hot chocolate and churros. Local nonprofit Welcome Home will also be collecting blankets on opening night for those in need.
After the entertainment ends on Newton Centre Green, the community is invited to either Oak n’barrel liquor store or Tango Mango Mexican restaurant for a wine tasting or dinner and live music respectively.
