NEWTON, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced overnight lane closures on Route 9 in both Newton and Brookline.The interstate is scheduled to have lane closures on both eastbound and westbound directions beginning on Sunday, July 27. The closures will be on a weekly schedule of being closed from Sundays through Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. That schedule will last until sometime in November.
