Waban Life Scout Donates To New England Center & Home for Veterans
Carlie Briere was inspired by her many family members who have served in the military and chose to help NECHV for her Eagle Scout project.

NEWTON, MA — A Weston teenager and Waban Life Scout has made a donation to the New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV) in Boston.
Carlie Briere, a member of Boy Scout Troop 209 ,was inspired by her many family members who have served in the military and chose to help NECHV for her Eagle Scout project.
Over the last few months, Briere has raised nearly $17,000 and put together 250 gift bags for veterans that include warm clothing, a towel, toiletries, and more.

On Monday, Briere and her father, John, who is a 30-year veteran of the National Guard and also an Eagle Scout, delivered the 250 gift bags to the NECHV.
