Where To Get A COVID-19 Booster Shot In Newton

Four clinics will be held in the Druker Auditorium at Newton Free Library starting Monday, Oct. 31.

NEWTON, MA — Newton Health & Human Services and the Holtzman Medical Group will host four COVID-19 booster clinics starting Monday, Oct. 31 in the Druker Auditorium at Newton Free Library.

The updated Pfizer booster is available for ages five and up and the Moderna booster is available for ages six and up. Both shots contain a formula that both boosts immunity against the original coronavirus strain and also protects against the newer Omicron variants that account for most of the current cases.

Residents eligible for an updated booster dose at least two months after their last COVID-19 vaccine or booster dose. Those who have had a recent infection should wait two months to have the booster.

Here are Newton’s booster clinic dates:

  • Monday, Oct. 31, 2-5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 2, 3-6 p.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 7, 3-6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 22, 10-1 p.m.
