Multiple Shoplifting Charges Over Weekend

The following information was supplied by the Peabody Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Peabody Police log:

Friday, Aug. 19

  • At 4:09 p.m.at the called police to report they had detained a shoplifter. Luis Tejeda, 20, 555 Essex St., Lynn, was charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
  • At 4:30 p.m. a woman reported two children missing at the North Shore Mall. The children were later found in a different store. 
  • At 4:43 p.m. police arrested Joshua A. Good, 24, 5 Veterans Memorial Drive, Peabody, on charges of driving with a revoked license. The arrest was made after a traffic stop. 
  • At 8:41 p.m. police arrested James W. Walsh, 55, 8 Arbella St., Salem, and charged him with possession of class A drugs (subsequent offense) and driving with a revoked license. 
  • At 8:45 p.m. a resident of Spring Pond Road reported someone had egged their house and the parties were now headed to the park. 
  • Russell Perry, 34, 23 Berry St., Peabody, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery at 9:50 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 20

  • At 6:14 a.m. graffiti was found at the skate park. 
  • At 10:40 a.m. a person told police they were concerned about a hawk that was not flying. Animal Control did not locate the animal.
  • At 5:30 p.m. police arrested Danielle J. Steenbruggen, 30, 286 Newbury St., Peabody, and charged her with shoplifting by concealing merchandise from on Andover Street.
  • At 8:13 p.m. police were called to for a shoplifter. Robin M. Spagnueolo, 49, 31 Newman St., Revere, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise. 
  • At 10:34 p.m. a Tremont St., resident told police she heard someone in the neighborhood screaming: "Stop" and "Let go." Police found a pool party was going on.
  • At 10:59 p.m. Russell A. Kelly, 30, 18 Maple St., Lynnfield, was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and marked lanes violation.

Sunday, Aug. 22

  • A 1:05 a.m. police arrested Thomas P. Conant, 20, 26 Endicott St., Peabody, and charged him with tagging property and defacing property. 
  • At 8:29 a.m. reported cars had been broken into overnight. 
  • At 11:11 a.m. Fabiano C. Pinto, 30, 115 Mason St., Salem, was arrested and charged with driving without a license. 
  • At 12:26 p.m. Police were called to for shoplifting. Patricia A. Garcia, 36, 123 Winnipurkit Ave., Lynn, was arrested for larceny over $250.
  • At 3:51 p.m. a caller told police they believed a man was following a teenage in Marrs Park. Police arrested Christopher A. Taglieri, 53, 32 Normandy Road, Lynn, was arrested on four warrants.
