Billington Sea In Plymouth Still Under Advisory

Thirteen waterbodies in Massachusetts, including in Plymouth, Sharon and Mansfield, remain closed for swimming due to harmful algae bloom.

PLYMOUTH, MA — The Billington Sea in Plymouth remains among Massachusetts beaches that are under advisory for cyanobacteria. The algae bloom is considered harmful, according to town officials. Residents and visitors, including their pets, are urged to keep out of the water until further notice.

  • Fulton Pond — Mansfield
  • Hopkinton Reservoir — Ashland and Hopkinton
  • Lake Boone — Stowe
  • Lake Massapoag — Sharon
  • Lake Warner — Hadley
  • Magnolia Pond — Northampton
  • Plunkett Reservoir — Hinsdale
  • Round Pond — Hamilton
  • Santuit Pond — Mashpee
  • Triangle Pond — Northampton
  • West Reservoir — Harwich
