New Sunday afternoon music series brings jazz, swing, classical crossover & Broadway favorites to Plymouth's Spire Center! Tickets on sale.
The Spire Center for Performing Arts in Plymouth is tuning up for a brand new series that's sure to strike a chord with music lovers. Introducing Sunday Serenades, a vibrant lineup of afternoon performances celebrating the diverse sounds of jazz, swing, big band, classical crossover, and Broadway hits.
The exciting series kicks off on Sunday, May 25th, with the captivating vocals of Boston's own Cassandre McKinley. Known for her spirited live shows and collaborations with renowned musicians, McKinley's performance promises an unforgettable afternoon.
But the music doesn't stop there! The Spire has announced a fantastic roster of talent for the Sunday Serenades series, including:
- June 22: The dynamic big band sounds of A Swingin’ Affair, bringing to life the timeless tunes of Sinatra, Martin, and the Rat Pack.
- June 29: The innovative trio Echoes of Fusion, blending Venezuelan folk music, jazz, and classical influences.
- July 27 (6:00 p.m.): The mesmerizing cello and vocal duo BRANDEN & JAMES, joined by the powerful vocals of Effie Passero in their show Cellovoci.
- August 10: The infectious Caribbean rhythms and torrid horns of Charlie Halloran’s Tropicales.
- October 26: The sensational tribute to the legendary Frank Sinatra by Michael Dutra and his band.
"We are excited to introduce our new series, Sunday Serenades to the Spire, presenting amazing world-class musicians for an experience that’s both sophisticated and exhilarating," said Dot McDonough, Director of Marketing and Operations. "Through this unique programming, we expect a different kind of energy in the building. This series, which will run on select Sunday afternoons throughout the year, will make us more accessible to audiences that might not be able to make a nighttime show.”
