• THE SUITCASE JUNKET Returns To The Spire Center With New Music Ahead Of First Album In Five Years (broadwayworld.com) — Plymouth music fans can catch The Suitcase Junket live at The Spire Center on Saturday, January 24, as he road-tests songs for his first album in five years. Matt Lorenz’s one-man show blends handmade instruments, vivid storytelling, and cinematic soundscapes in an intimate local performance.
   

• John McElroy Moran, 94, surgeon, community activist (plymouthindependent.org) — A longtime cardiovascular surgeon who retired to Plymouth and became active on town committees and with the Pilgrim Society has died at 94. His family recalls a humble, hands-on neighbor who gardened, raised chickens, and stayed deeply involved with Dartmouth Medical School. A celebration of his life is planned in Plymouth this spring, with donations suggested to the Dartmouth Cancer Center.
