Plymouth Man Arrested For Punching 16-Year-Old In 'Road-Rage' Incident

Daniel Kenney, 49, is facing assault and battery charges after police say he hit a teen multiple times in a "road-rage yelling match."

PLYMOUTH, MA — A Plymouth man is facing assault and battery charges after police say he smashed a teen's head into a steering wheel repetitively during a "road-rage yelling match" on Wednesday.

Daniel Kenney, 49, of Plymouth, was arrested for assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (the steering wheel) immediately following the incident Wednesday.

According to Plymouth police, Wednesday's incident started off as a verbal argument between Kenney and a 16-year-old driver before Kenney got out of his car.

The incident became violent when police say Kenney went over to the teen and punched him in the face, before thrashing his body back and forth into the steering wheel, causing the teenager to bash his head multiple times.

A spokesperson from the Plymouth Police Department told Patch the victim declined any treatment and was not taken to the hospital. He noted that the police report said there was some redness on his face, but he was otherwise in okay condition.
