Two Charged With Beating Court Officer With Boot, Car Seat
Authorities say the assault happened following a road rage incident.

QUINCY, MA — Two people have been charged with assaulting a Quincy District Court officer during a road rage incident on Hancock Street Wednesday afternoon.
Oscar Anderson, 23, of Quincy, and Janaya Ward, 20, of Quincy, both entered not guilty pleas during their arraignment in Quincy District Court Thursday. Anderson was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, intimidating a witness, threatening to commit a crime, and resisting arrest. Ward faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, attempting to bribe a juror, and assault and battery, according to WHDH.
Authorities say the two got into an argument with the court officer while he was out on his lunch break. The officer got out of his car after Anderson allegedly came at him with a baseball bat during a red light. The officer then put Anderson in a headlock in self defense and Ward got out of the car and struck the officer with a boot and the bottom of a car seat.
