1. Sale of closed Eastern Mass. college campus falls apart. Here's what to know (masslive.com) — Eastern Nazarene College’s Quincy campus sale to an alumnus has collapsed, putting the prime property near downtown and the Red Line back in play. City officials had already weighed senior-housing zoning and lower-density plans, while the now-abandoned proposal envisioned several hundred apartments and mixed senior living. New offers are being sought that respect the college’s legacy and neighborhood setting.
   

2. South Shore Food Bank and Interfaith Social Services Receive 40,000-pound Food Donation (plymptonhalifaxexpress.com) — A massive 40,000-pound food donation is being split between Quincy’s Interfaith Social Services and the South Shore Food Bank, boosting supplies for thousands of local families. Interfaith, based in Quincy, runs one of Greater Boston’s largest emergency food pantries and related support programs, all of which have seen record demand in recent months.
   

3. Number of cold-stunned turtles in treatment swells to over 450 (capecod.com) — Hundreds of cold-stunned sea turtles are now recovering at the New England Aquarium’s Sea Turtle Hospital in Quincy, where 84 animals remain in treatment. Staff are shifting from emergency triage to long-term, individualized care and will transfer some turtles to partner facilities as capacity tightens. The Aquarium is also seeking donations to support this intensive rehabilitation work.
   

4. Hanover boys basketball tops Quincy at home in Patriot League action (patriotledger.com) — Quincy High’s boys basketball team traveled to Hanover Friday night, where the Presidents fell to the Hawks in Patriot League play but saw strong efforts from several Quincy players. Photos capture key moments featuring Quincy standouts like Malcolm McMorrow, Yhan Medina, Arber Beqaj, and coach Matt Ramponi guiding the squad from the sideline.
   

5. The Rise and Fall of Boston's Little Syria (wgbh.org) — A historian traces the history of Boston’s former Little Syria neighborhood and how Syrian and Lebanese immigrants helped shape today’s Chinatown and South End. Along the way, she notes that Quincy, Worcester, and Lawrence also hosted sizable Syrian communities, connecting this Boston story to the broader immigrant history of nearby cities like Quincy.
