2. Tonight the Boston City Council's Committee on City, Neighborhood Services, and Veterans Affairs will hold a hearing on the challenges facing Iraq and Afghanistan veterans returning to Boston. 6 p.m. City Hall.
3. On Tuesday, the same city council committee will hold a hearing sponsored by District 6 City Councilor Matt O'Malley at 10 a.m. to discuss how to improve traffic flow in Boston using signage and enforcement. City Hall.

5. From November 1 to November 22, the Boston Public Library is running an overdue book drive. During this period, any overdue books, CDs, DVDs returned will have associated fines cleared. Return them to any branch.
