Police Charge Roslindale Man with Selling Marijuana in CVS Parking Lot

Undercover Boston Police Drug Control Units arrested another man for selling marijuana out of the CVS parking lot on Washington Street.

On Nov. 17 around 4:51 p.m., Whitney P. Cherry, of 35 Haydn St., Roslindale, was arrested and charged with distributon and possession with intent to distribute a class D drug, marijuana.

Police were conducting surveillance in the parking lot and allegedly saw the suspect get into a vehicle and conduct a street level drug transaction, according to a Boston Police report. Officers approached the vehicle with badges displayed, and one officer saw an occupant of the car trying to hide something. A bag of a leafy green material believed to be marijuana was seen on the passengers side seat.

The suspect allegedly admitted that he had sold marijuana, and that the occupant of the car was a referral from his cousin. The purchaser of the marijuana told police he had come from Brockton because he heard the suspect had good stuff, according to a Boston Police report.

Police also seized a satchel in the backseat of the vehicle with a scale, one mason jar with another plastic bag of marijuana, and a box of baggies.
