Roslindale Man Arrested for Drinking a 40 in Public

The following information was provided by the Boston Police Department, and where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

While stopped at a red light, a Boston Police officer noticed a Roslindale man staggering across Archdale Road, leading to the man's arrest for drinking in public.

On Nov. 2 around 5:19 p.m., Paz Granados Romero, of 3927 Washington St. #2, Roslindale, was arrested and charged with drinking an alcoholic beverage in a public way.

While stopped at the intersection of Archdale Road and Washington Street, the officer saw the suspect stagger across the street. The officer alleged the suspect saw the officer and continued to consume the beverage, according to a Boston Police report.

The suspect was stopped on the sidewalk at Archdale Road and Washington Street, and he was drinking a 40-ounce bottle of Natural Ice beer. The suspect was placed into custody. The beer was "properly disposed of at District E-5."
