Suspect Flees Scene, Police After Ramming Ex's Vehicle in Roslindale

A suspect was able to run away from a Boston Police officer after allegedly ramming his ex's vehicle in Roslindale.
On Nov. 3 around 9:58 p.m. an officer at 19 Brookway Road saw two vehicles drive by him at a high rate of speed. A white SUV was being followed by a brown minivan, according to a Boston Police report.

The brown minivan was pulled over at Archdale and Brookway roads, but the white van proceeded to drive towards Washington Street and Archdale Road. The male driver of the brown minivan alleged the white SUV had struck his vehicle and took off, according to a Boston Police report.
But the suspect was able to flee his vehicle, which was in the middle of the intersection, while the officer moved his cruiser. When the officer looked back, the suspect had taken off in an unknown direction, fleeing the scene and his vehicle, according to a Boston Police report. The brown minivan was left running in the middle of the intersection.

The white SUV was stopped by a different police unit at Washington Street and Archdale Road. The driver of the white SUV showed police a restraining order against the driver of the brown minivan, her ex, out of West Roxbury District Court. The driver alleged the suspect had followed her to the Emporium Gas Station at 3875 Washington St., and then rammed his vehicle into her vehicle, thus causing her to take off. The suspect then followed the victim's vehicle through the Archdale Housing area, where the officer saw the vehicles.
Police faxed a request for an immediate license suspension to the Registry of Motor Vehiceles for the suspect. The suspect was to be mailed a citation for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, speeding, stop sign violation, and refusal to submit to a police officer.
The suspect will also be summonsed to West Roxbury District Court for refusal to submit to a police officer, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, violation of a restraining order, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon with a vehicle.
