Woman Charged with Assault and Battery on Police Officer in Roslindale

A Roslindale woman allegedly aggressively grabbed a Boston Police officer, which quickly led to her being arrested.
On Nov. 16 around 10:54 a.m., Sheila R. Carrington, of 27 Firth Road, Roslindale, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer.

Police were called by the suspect to her residence because she wanted her son and daughter-in-law to leave the residence after having been in a verbal argument.
One officer was inside the residence speaking to the witnesses when a second officer made his way through the dining room to assist the other officer, according to a Boston Police report. The suspect then ran up behind the officer shouting, "You can't go into my apartment, I know my rights." The suspect then placed her hands around the officer's left forearm, grabbing him, pulling at him and spinning him around. The suspect then allegedly pushed her hands into the officer's chest area. The suspect was then placed under arrest.
