$100K Fine For Shrewsbury Dunkin' Owner For Child Labor Law Violations
Ten Dunkin' locations in the Worcester and Shrewsbury areas were found to be violating labor laws, according to the state attorney general.

SHREWSBURY, MA — The owner of a group of local Dunkin' locations will pay a combined $100,000 in fines for violating various laws governing child labor, according to state Attorney General Andrea Campbell.
Shrewsbury Enterprise LLC owns 10 Dunkin' shops in Worcester and Shrewsbury. Those locations allowed minor children to work later than allowed under the law, and in some cases past 8 p.m. without an adult present. The locations also allowed minors to work more than eight hours per day.
The attorney general's office has fined various Dunkin' stores across the state in recent years for violating child labor laws, with total citations now at $1.75 million.

In April, Courtney Donuts, LLC, which owns Dunkin' stores in north-central Middlesex County, paid $220,000 in fines for violations like allowing 16 and 17-year-olds to work more than nine hours in a day and working before 6 a.m.
In November 2022, The Westford Group committed was found to have committed over 1,200 violations at 14 stores in Worcester, Grafton, Millbury, Westborough, Leominster and Lowell. The violations included failing to get work permits for minors, allowing minors to work before 6 a.m. and after 10 p.m. and allowing minors to work for more than nine hours per day. The AG's office fined the company $145,000.
