Caller from St. Anne's Reports Suspicious Male, Dumpster Fire Extinguished

Wednesday, April 3
7:36 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of a domestic incident. Michael Sweeney, 59, of 60 South St. was arrested and charged with assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
8:55 a.m.: One vehicle was towed after it was involved in a crash on Maple Avenue.

11:02 a.m.: A caller from St. Anne’s reported a suspicious male who fled the area. Officers responded and found Edwin Brito, 32, of 135 Boston Turnpike at the Worcester City Motel and arrested him on charges of larceny from a person.
4:47 p.m.: The Animal Control Officer spoke with a person in the Shrewsbury Police Department lobby regarding an ongoing issue with the person’s dogs.

5:08 p.m.: A resident of Lantern Lane reported a larceny of cash.
9:30 p.m.: Officers served an arrest warrant to Plue Reh, 26, of 37 Sterling St., Worcester for charges of unlicensed operation.
10:35 p.m.: An officer assisted the Shrewsbury Fire Department with a dumpster fire at White City Shopping Center.
Thursday, April 4
6:11 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on South Street. Police issued a criminal application to the operator and the vehicle was towed.
