Downed Tree In Shrewsbury Knocks Power To Neighborhood
Power was knocked out overnight to a Shrewsbury neighborhood.
SHREWSBURY, MA — One neighborhood in Shrewsbury woke up in the dark on Tuesday. A downed tree that fell on utility lines knocked power to a neighborhood on Monday night.
The tree fell near Westwood Road and Surrey Lane, knocking power to several homes in the area. One of the tree's limbs was ripped down from the trunk — tree debris and leaves scattered the road early Tuesday morning as crews cleared the area.
Police did not have an estimate of how many homes were out of power.
