Drug Take Back Day 2023: Shrewsbury Police Participating
Here's where and when you can drop off unwanted prescription drugs in Shrewsbury this year.
SHREWSBURY, MA — A national effort to dispose of unwanted prescription drugs will come to Shrewsbury this weekend.
Shrewsbury police will participate in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's semiannual prescription drug take back event on Saturday. Residents can head to the Shrewsbury Senior Center, 98 Maple Ave., between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to dispose of prescriptions — no questions asked.
The DEA offers to collect unwanted prescriptions to keep narcotics and other substances from being abused. The event also has an environmental purpose, keeping substances from being dumped down toilets or thrown into landfills.
