SHREWSBURY, MA — Independence Day is here along with fireworks shows scheduled across the state — but there's a caveat this year with thunderstorms in the forecast.

The good news: the storms may be over before most fireworks shows are set to start on Tuesday.

We've rounded up all the fireworks shows happening in and around Shrewsbury so you can start planning now — whether you want to stay local or travel to another show nearby.

As many in the state know, fireworks are very illegal in Massachusetts, and so we're including only shows that have been licensed by the state Department of Fire Services. These fireworks shows include events that take place before and after July 4.
