Juvenile Charged With Disorderly Conduct, Failure to Obey an Officer

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, March 15

12:14 p.m.: A caller requested an officer to speak with a suspicious male on Main Street.

1:42 p.m.: A caller from Worcester City Motel requested an officer to remove a female from one of the rooms in the building. The couple was given two hours to clear their room.

1:48 p.m.: Officers responded with the Shrewsbury Fire Department to treat a male with an accidental wrist laceration at Dunkin Donuts on Hartford Turnpike.

1:56 p.m.: A caller reported chickens and roosters in the roadway of Route 9 at Walnut Street. The Animal Control Officer responded and noted that the animals were on the owner’s property. An hour later a second call for the same animals came in and was once again unfounded.

4:59 p.m.: The Animal Control Officer rescued a pit-bull that was found on South Quinsigamond. The dog was taken to animal rescue.

7:11 p.m.: Officers served two arrest warrants at the Worcester City Motel. Nicholas Vinton, 22, of 17 Michael Ln., Dudley was arrested on warrant charges of speeding, operating a motor vehicle without a license and unarmed robbery. David Smith, 29, of 124 High St., Apt. B, Fitchburg was arrested on warrant charges of unlicensed operation.

Saturday, March 16

12:00 a.m.: A caller from Shrewsbury Green reported two males having an altercation. Kevin Monteiro, 40, of 42 Shrewsbury Green, Apt. E was arrested and charged with possession of a class B substance.

12:28 a.m.: An officer responded to a call from Boylston Street where a juvenile was arrested. The youth was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and failure to obey a police officer.

8:27 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Hartford Turnpike and arrested Jamie White, 24, of 87 West Main St., Dudley. White was charged with operating with a suspended license and performing an improper turn. 

2:14 p.m.: An officer from the Shrewsbury Police Department responded to a report of two German shepherds running loose on Prospect Street. The dogs ran in to the woods.
