Man Takes Nap in Trunk, Cooking Fire at Shrewsbury Green

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, April 8

8:11 a.m.: A caller from Boston Turnpike reported that a man had just climbed inside the trunk of a vehicle in the parking lot. An officer responded and spoke to the man who said he was taking a nap.

4:20 p.m.: An officer performed traffic enforcement on Old Mill Road at Audobon Drive.

5:13 p.m.: An officer from the Shrewsbury Police Department enforced traffic regulations at South Street and Lamplighter Drive.

5:38 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of an apartment fire at the Shrewsbury Green Apartments. The fire was caused by burnt food.

8:30 p.m.: A caller from the Shrewsbury Housing Authority reported a suspicious male looking around vehicles in the parking lot. Officers responded and discovered several vehicles with slashed tires. The K9 searched the area but did not find anyone suspicious.
