Over 2K Ballots Mailed Out In Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury just received an official Ballot Box to drop off mail-in ballots.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury residents are getting their ballots in, with over 2,000 ballots mailed in the past three days.

According to the Shrewsbury Town Clerk, 10,471 ballots were requested by residents and so far, 2,413 have been mailed in. The town just received an official Ballot Box to drop off mail-in ballots. The box is located in front of Town Hall at 100 Maple Avenue.

There's still time to apply for an absentee or early voting ballot by mail, the town clerk said. The deadline to apply is Oct. 28 and the Vote by Mail application is available online.

For those who plan to cast their ballot in person but want to skip the election day crowds, in-person early voting starts on Oct. 17 at Shrewsbury town hall and lasts until Oct. 30. On election day, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
