Police Log: Five Arrests, Shoplifting at CVS

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Dec. 8

12:51 a.m.: A caller from Fifth Avenue Row asked to speak with an officer regarding a disagreement with her brother. The male was told to stay away from the location.

1:27 a.m.: A couple was spoken to after an officer observed a domestic incident in their car on North Qunsigamond. The disagreement was verbal only.

1:37 a.m.: Officers arrested Amy Jennings, 34, of 52L Shrewsbury Green Dr. on warrant charges.

2:42 a.m.: An officer spoke with the operator of a stopped motor vehicle. The operator had stopped to smoke a cigarette.

3:17 a.m.: An officer issued a criminal application after stopping a vehicle at the exit ramp for Route 290. The vehicle was towed and the license plates were confiscated.

10:38 a.m.: Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call from 235 Boston Turnpike. Upon arrival Jacqueline Gregoire, 50, of 235 Boston Trnpk. was arrested on a warrant related to a traffic stop.

11:35 a.m.: An officer took a report of shoplifting at CVS. The female involved was reportedly carrying a large grey bag with flowers on it.

3:58 p.m.: Yohane Kofi Oppong-Afful, 20, of 17 Glendale Ave., went in to the Shrewsbury Police Department to turn himself in for outstanding arrest warrants charges of larceny under $250, assault and battery of a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

4:17 p.m.: A male was removed from the Worcester City Motel at the request of an employee.

8:32 p.m.: Officers responded to a two-car crash on Hartford Turnpike. One person was killed in the crash.

Sunday, Dec. 9

12:01 a.m.: An officer spoke to a group of people on Shrewsbury Green Drive who had reportedly been yelling.

12:13 a.m.: A caller from Neptune Drive reported suspicious motor vehicles in the area with multiple people running around. Officers responded and transported several people back to the station. One male was put in to protective custody.

1:15 a.m.: Jeremy Harris, 23, of 956 Warren Ave., Apt. 1, Brockton was arrested after a traffic stop on Worthington Avenue. Harris was charged with operating with a suspended license.

3:22 a.m.: A caller reported a possible domestic incident at Shrewsbury Green Drive in which a male and female were yelling at each other. Kyle Heller, 24, of 36F Shrewsbury Green Dr., was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

8:17 a.m.: A suspicious male was removed from a business at 307 Grafton St.

5:06 p.m.: A caller from CVS reported a fraudulent return. Officers were unable to find the male involved.
