Police Log: 23-Year-Old Faces Multiple Gun and Drug Charges

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 10

9:20 a.m.: A business owner from 510 Boston Trnpk. reported that their locks had been vandalized. An officer responded and took note that the locks had just been replaced.

9:49 a.m.: An employee of a business at 196 Boston Turnpike reported a larceny of $300.

10:45 a.m.: A caller reported two people harassing people outside of Dunkin Donuts on Hartford Turnpike. An officer responded and found the people at the Rainbow Motel. They were spoken to.

1:19 p.m.: A caller reported a crash with injuries on Old Mill Road. An officer responded but the patient refused medical attention.

2:06 p.m.: The owner of a business at 620 Boston Turnpike reported that a box truck had been broken in to overnight.

6:17 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Boston Turnpike and issued a criminal citation for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.

7:06 p.m.: A caller reported a male trying to pick a door lock on Ira Avenue. Officers responded and spoke to the suspicious male who was a contractor working at the location.

Tuesday, Dec. 11

1:21 a.m.: Officers searched the area near Shrewsbury Green Drive for a vehicle that was running with its doors open. Justin Wogan, 23, of 352 Grafton St., and Christian Castro, 22, of 2 Flagg St., Worcester were arrested. Both men were charged with larceny over $250 and malicious destruction of property. Wogan was also charged with possession of a firearm silencer, defacing the serial number from a firearm, possession of class A, B, C, and E substances, possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute, three counts of possession of ammo / firearm / chemical propellant.

9:28 a.m.: A caller reported two males panhandling in front of Dunkin Donuts on Hartford Turnpike. An officer responded and spoke to the people.

12:47 p.m.: One car was towed after a two-car crash on Boston Turnpike.

3:35 p.m.: A dog was reunited with its owner after the owner left it at 508 Boston Tpke.

4:21 p.m.: A caller reported that someone attempted to break into a trailer at 730 Boston Turnpike. The caller requested extra patrols.

6:23 p.m.: A caller reported a male slumped over the steering wall of a vehicle on Holman Street. Officers responded with the Shrewsbury Fire Department. Upon arrival the officer broke the back window to gain access to vehicle.  A family member responded to take the vehicle and refused medical treatment for the man.

7:26 p.m.: A resident reported a break-in to their house on Rolfe Avenue.

8:00 p.m.: A caller from Olde Colony Drive reported a break-in in progress. Officers responded and spoke to a family member who responded earlier than expected.
