Police Log: Person Covered in Mud on Spring Street

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Oct. 30

7:40 a.m.: A caller from Oak Street reported that a tree fell on a house. No one was in the house at the time the tree fell.

8:25 p.m.: Selco called requesting an officer to retrieve drug paraphernalia they had found in Dean Park.

10:05 a.m.: A caller reported that a female jogger had her dog with her unleashed. The caller said the dog chased after a child. Animal Control was notified.

10:06 a.m.: An officer filed a criminal complaint on behalf of the town for larceny by check.

2:40 p.m.: An officer responded to a verbal dispute on Irving Drive.

3:58 p.m.: A person went in to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report an issue with a patron at Walgreens.

4:04 p.m.: A resident reported a dog bite that occurred on Benjamin Lane.

4:40 p.m.: A caller said that a person had covered himself in mud and was walking up Spring Street. Officers responded and spoke to the person and their parents.

10:19 p.m.: A caller from 100 Boston Turnpike reported a past break-in at their business. A manager of the business was contacted.

11:50 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle near Baker Avenue and issued the operator a criminal citation for operating an uninsured vehicle.
