Police Log: Restraining Order Violation, Missing Dogs

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Oct 31.

8:27 a.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on Hartford Turnpike. An officer that responded called for an ambulance when one person reported neck pain.

9:12 a.m.: A caller from St. James Road reported possibly stolen piping from an area. The caller did not see the person who removed the piping.

10:27 a.m.: A caller from Main Street reported a loose boxer that ran in to the woods.

11:42 a.m.: A resident reported a hit and run crash that occurred three weeks ago on Boston Turnpike.

1:01 p.m.: A caller from Elm Street reported a noise complaint. An officer responded and spoke to people in the area.

5:36 p.m.: A caller from Manor Road reported that his two dogs were missing.

6:20 p.m.: Robert F. Howland, 55, of 12 Cortland St., Westborough was arrested at his home. He was charged with violating a restraining order.

7:26 p.m.: A caller reported a group of teens causing a disturbance at Jordan Pond. When an officer responded there was no one in the area.

8:14 p.m.: A caller reported fireworks on Stoney Hill Road.

8:59 p.m.: A caller from Grove Ridge Path reported a water main break in the area. The situation was fixed the following morning after a Water Department worker advised that the situation was not a hazard.

10:20 p.m.: Officers responded to a basement fire on Clews Street with the Shrewsbury Fire Department. One person was transported to the hospital.
