Shrewsbury Police Investigating Multiple Car Prowls, Home Burglary
The thefts happened in neighborhoods along Lake Quinsigamond north of Route 9, police said.
SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury police are investigating a series of car and home break-ins that happened over the weekend in neighborhoods just east of Lake Quinsigamond.
Residents began reporting thefts around 7 a.m. Saturday, leading police to discover that six cars had been broken into. One home had also been burglarized, police said.
All the incidents took place near Avon and Phillips avenues north of Route 9. Police did not immediately make any arrests in connection to the thefts.

"We would like to remind all of our residents to please keep your home and vehicle doors locked at all times, and if you see anything suspicious, to please call 911," the department said in a news release.
