WATCH: Shrewsbury Students' Video Wins At The State House
Students won at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education's #LeadingTheNation celebration.

SHREWSBURY, MA—Students at Shrewsbury High School recently won for a video they created for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education’s #LeadingTheNation celebration.
This event took place Thursday at the State House to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the landmark Education Reform Act and the fact that Massachusetts Public Schools have consistently been tops in the U.S. for several years running. This one-minute piece captures the essence of the school's motto: “Empowering Learners.”
"I’m very proud of SHS students Sara Abdelouahed, Duaa Ahmed, Drew Hyland, Archie Purohit, and Tim Schwab for producing this outstanding video," said Superintendent Joe Sawyer in a statement. "I asked these students on short notice to put together a video that would highlight what is special about our school district, and I think you’ll agree that they did an excellent job. Congrats to their TV Production teacher, Maggie Korab, for supporting her students’ work on this as well."
