Somerville Subway Stabbing: Arrest Made

The incident took place over the weekend at a red line station.

SOMERVILLE, MA — The police department announced it has made an arrest in an apparent stabbing that took place at the MBTA Davis Square Red Line station on Sunday. Police responded to the situation shortly after 8:30 a.m. and found a man suffering from a stab wound. With the help of the MBTA police, Somerville police soon located the person it believed to be the perpetrator and made an arrest. The victim was transported to the hospital with reportedly non-life-threatening injuries.

A full investigation of the incident remains to be completed, with the MBTA Transit Police leading it.
