SOMERVILLE, MA — The Somerville Police Department received the following reports between Wednesday, May 21 and Monday, May 26.

Wednesday, May 21

11:30 a.m. — Police responded to a report of an assault on Highland Avenue. A victim stated being attacked and injured by another man when he tried to escort him out of the property.
8:44 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at a residence on South Street. The female resident said she heard noises in the kitchen and then saw her back door was opened and damaged.

Saturday, May 24

1:39 a.m. — Police encountered two men having a fight outside of a business on Broadway. The parties involved were advised.

Sunday, May 25

9:57 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at a residence on Park Street. A woman was watching the property owner’s cats when she observed a man sleeping on the couch. The suspect was soon identified.

Monday, May 26

10:23 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a disturbance on Somerville Avenue. A woman said she was struck in the head with a bottle after getting into an argument with a man. He was soon found and placed under arrest.
5:12 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a past assault on Broadway. A woman said she was attacked by someone known to her and endured multiple injuries.
