SOMERVILLE, MA — The Somerville Police Department received the following reports between Tuesday, April 22 and Tuesday, April 29.

Tuesday, April 22

6:07 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a past assault and larceny. A person reported catching someone shoplifting and was punched by the assailant when he tried confronting him.

Thursday, April 24

7:27 a.m. — Police responded to a report of vandalism at a business on Medford Street. Officers discovered a broken window and a cinder block used to break it.
12:33 p.m. — Police responded to a past report of vandalism at a business on Broadway. Businessowner said a male threw a stone at a window in an attempt to break it.

Sunday, April 27

12:27 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a shooting at a business on Broadway. An employee said a person fired one shot of a gun into the air. A shell casing was soon found. No injuries have been reported.

Tuesday, April 29

11:04 a.m. — Police responded to a report of an assault at a restaurant on Broadway. An employee said a customer threw a vase at them because she was upset at her food order.
