The city is holding a public meeting on July 31 to talk about flooding in the area of Cedar and Hall streets and to discuss proposals for mitigating the problem.
The city is proposing upgrades to water, wastewater and stormwater systems in the area, according to an announcement from the mayor's office.
It's also considering upgrades to the roadway, sidewalk and bike accommodations, the announcement says. It says construction is expected to begin in spring of 2014.
The meeting on July 31 will take place at 6 p.m. at the Visiting Nurse Association, 259 Lowell Street. The announcement says there will be additional public meetings as the design process moves forward.
