Clover Food Lab To Open Location In Somerville's Assembly Row

SOMERVILLE, MA — The vegetarian restaurant chain Clover Food Lab is opening a new location in Somerville’s Assembly Row this October, reported Boston.com.

The restaurant will be Clover’s 15th location and first in Somerville. It will also be the first location with a built-in specialty grocery store, where customers will be able to purchase pantry items, fresh produce from local farms, and prepared foods.

The specialty grocery store is made possible through a partnership with Bobby Maclean and Alexandra Whisnant of the local food store Picnic & Pantry. Some goods from their store will be available for purchase as well.

Clover Food Lab was started as a food truck in 2008. The new location will have the same menu as other spots, including new items such as the potato pesto sandwich and fan favorites like the chickpea fritter.
