Violent crime includes offenses involving force or the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.There were 10 reported rapes, 58 robberies, and 154 aggravated assaults.Other crime stats for Somerville include 923 larcenies, 192 burglaries, 109 motor vehicle thefts, and four cases of arson.Nationally, violent crime decreased nationally last year by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.
