New Restaurant Coming To Rudy's Former Location: Report
The new location is owned by Charlie Redd, who is most known for a verbal altercation with Barstool Sports Founder Dave Portnoy.
SOMERVILLE, MA — The city’s Licensing Commission approved a transfer of licensing for 248 Holland St. in Teele Square during its most recent meeting this week. The former location of Rudy’s Cafe will now become a new restaurant, according to a report from Cambridge Day.
The location is now slated to become a new restaurant called The Hollows, which will be owned by Charlie Redd. Redd is known for an altercation with Barstool Sports Founder Dave Portnoy when Portnoy reviewed pizza at his former establishment Dragon Pizza in 2023.
Rudy’s served its last customers this past weekend as the Tex-Mex restaurant closed its doors after more than 40 years.
