Police: 'This Man Escaped From Mass. General Hospital'
Police say Mose Tene snuck out of the hospital before they could ask about the allegedly stolen car he was driving.
The following statement was released by the Chelsea Police Department:
“Chelsea Police are asking for the public help in apprehending Mose Tene, age 28 of Chelsea who escaped from police custody while being treated at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Police report that Tene was involved in a single vehicle accident at 12:10 AM on Friday morning on Highland Avenue in Chelsea and was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
“Police later learned that that the vehicle Tene was operating had been reported stolen and that Tene was not properly licensed and had outstanding warrants on file. Police were unable to process Tene at police headquarters and per policy stationed an officer to watch Tene until he could be booked at police headquarters or arraigned in Chelsea District Court.
