The Pretty Things Beer & Ale Project in Somerville is closing its doors after seven years of brewing an array of delectable beers.
“It’s time to draw the curtains and head off to a new adventure,” founders Dann and Martha Paquette said in online post.

The owners reflected on the brewery’s beginning and how they never envisioned themselves flourishing within the community.
“We didn’t foresee then that our strange project would become such a part of our lives,” they noted.

The couple got their start serving the beers at The Publick House in Brookline.
“Brewing our beers has been a great labor and a great joy. But best of all we shared it with so many great beer drinkers. It really feels like we met you all,” they added.
The brewery’s final batches will be shipped out over the next few weeks. It’s unclear what the Paquette’s intend to do next.
